With an IEC 61672 class 1 certification, CUBE guarantees flawless metrological quality in every situation. In addition, to provide you with information about the measurements, CUBE incorporates the most sophisticated event-detection filter system. As a result, various actions are triggered automatically, including coding, signal recording, notification by text messaging, and start-up of warning lights.

To this end, they all operate in the same way with respect to the integrated keyboard and Web interface. They use identical data processing software. And they all share the same accessories.

CUBE offers excellent connectivity, with a built-in 3G modem, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Ethernet and ADSL connections. It monitors around the clock, responds to your requests and keeps you informed of situations encountered:

acoustic and meteorological measurements
structured storage of information
automatic transmission of data to one or two remote servers
changes to parameter configuration via a Web interface from your computer or smartphone
real-time listening to the measured noise
real-time display of data

The CUBE system is certified IEC 61672 class 1 and is approved in numerous countries.

During acoustic monitoring, there may be multiple noise sources to be measured, located in varying positions relative to the measurement point (e.g. land transport, aircraft, industrial noise and worksites). CUBE can be used to take measurements in two reference directions: 0° or 90°.

Combined with a DMK01 outdoor microphone unit, CUBE is fully compliant with applicable standards in both cases. With an angle of incidence from the noise source at +/-30° relative to the reference direction, CUBE offers complete reliability. It is particularly well suited to outdoor measurement configurations, regardless of the weather, as it is designed to withstand meteorological constraints.

In addition, electronic verification of the metrology chain enables the reliability of measurements to be checked regularly. Multi-frequency checks provide an improved assessment of any damage to the microphone membrane.


CUBE incorporates the most sophisticated event-detection filter system, from the simplest to the most complex configuration.

At a basic level, the user can define an event, comprising a trigger that can be programmed over a maximum of 24 time periods. All parameters (overall level, spectral level, sliding Leq, meteorological parameters, etc.) instantaneously stored at the logging interval can be used to define the trigger. With the advanced module, up to five events can be programmed, each comprising a combination of logic statements ("AND" or "OR") for several triggers (maximum of five).

Each event can be activated according to the day of the week, and can trigger different actions: digital coding, recording of an audio signal (MP3 or WAV), triggering of a parallel recording with a faster logging interval, sending of customized text messages, triggering of predefined actions from the TTL output, start-up of warning lights, etc


In association with 01dB WebMonitoring, CUBE offers you access to comprehensive and high-performance Web-based services:

CUBE and 01dB WebMonitoring combine to enhance the quality to your analysis of monitoring data.


CUBE offers the ability to interface with the VAISALA WXT520 (six sensors) and WMT52 (two sensors) stations. 01dB chose these two stations as neither features moving parts. This avoids any risk of mechanical malfunction as a result of freezing temperatures or wear. The weather station and CUBE share a power supply with a 10 m cable connecting the two units, thereby offering excellent flexibility when installing the system.

Meteorological data is stored on the CUBE system and transmitted in the same way as acoustic data (WiFi, 3G modem, USB cable, etc.). The logging interval for meteorological data is a multiple of the acoustic logging interval.

Using the remote interface, the user can view the wind speed and direction (and possibly additional weather data) in real time.
